Badger women hoops improve to 10-1 with win

- The Wisconsin women's basketball team finished their non-conference schedule at 10-1, after beating Robert Morris 62-to-46 last night in Madison.

The Badgers out-shot the Colonials 52-to-29 percent, and coach Lisa Stone gave credit to a solid team defense that forced 18 turnovers by Robert Morris.

Alyssa Karel led Wisconsin in scoring with 20 points, and Tara Steinbauer had a game-high nine rebounds. Vega Gimeno-Martinez had 14 points for Robert Morris, which dropped to 5-and-4. The Badgers made 9-of-16 from three-point range, while Morris hit 5-of-19 from beyond-the-arc.

Wisconsin is now off until December 28th, when it hosts Michigan State in their Big Ten home opener.
