DE SOTO - A bar owner and nine women face charges after authorities break up an illegal striptease operation in Vernon County.
Sheriff Gene Cary says his department, along with investigators from the La Crosse County Sheriff's Department and Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI), investigated alleged striptease entertainment at Gunners Bar in rural De Soto.
After investigating the bar for several weeks, deputies arrested the bar owner, 43-year-old Thomas Ghelf, and nine women, ranging in age from 18 to 27-years-old, December 18 for violation of Vernon County's pornographic performance ordinance.
All of those arrested were booked into the Vernon County Jail, but were later released on bond.
