Unsuccessful night of basketball for county teams
Several county prep basketball teams were in action Tuesday before the holiday break and none were victorious.

Four Pierce County girls and boys basketball teams were in action Tuesday before the holiday break.
All four were beaten and beaten badly.
Prescott's boys team lost to Hastings 57-36. Spring Valley's boys' team lost to Amery 44-28. SV's girls' team also lost to Amery 67-39 and Plum City's girls team also remains winless like Spring Valley's clubs as they fell to Gilmanton 58-28.
The PC and Prescott games were close at halftime. After a slow start PHS only trailed 23-19 at the break while PC was only behind six at 24-18.
But the Cardinals were outscored 34-17 in the second half and the Blue Devils were held to 10 points in the second half while Gilmanton scored 34 also.
