MADISON - The Wisconsin men’s basketball team beat UW-Milwaukee 68-to-58 last night in Madison.
The Badgers ended the first half with a 9-1 run to go up by 12 at the break. They led by as many as 16 in the second half. UWM out-shot Wisconsin 46-to-45 percent. But the Badgers had a 31-25 rebounding advantage. And they made 18-of-20 from the free throw line, while the Panthers went just 6-of-12 from the line.
Jon Leuer was the leading scorer for Wisconsin with 25 points. Ricky Franklin had 13 for Milwaukee, which dropped to 8-and-5. The Badgers improved to 9-2 while UWM is 8-5.
