UWGB women stay unbeaten with win over SIU

GREEN BAY - The UW-Green Bay women remained undefeated after beating Southern Illinois 75-to-64 at home last night.

The 22nd-ranked Phoenix clinched the victory with a 6-0 run which put them up by 12 with 5:43 to go. Kayla Tetschlag had career highs of 25 points and 14 rebounds, as Green Bay improved to 11-and-0 and won its 29th straight regular season game.

The Phoenix did not make a three-pointer for the first time in 238 games. But they did enough to give Green Bay coach Matt Bollant his 200th overall coaching win against 44 losses. Christine Presswood scored 22 points for Southern Illinois, which fell to 1-9.

Green Bay completed its non-schedule schedule undefeated for the first time in its history.
