UWGB women's hoops improve to 13-0, win streak at 31

The UW Green Bay women’s basketball team improved to 13-0 last night with a 76-to-60 victory at Youngstown State.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The UW Green Bay women’s basketball team improved to 13-0 last night with a 76-60 victory at Youngstown State.

The Phoenix got off to a slow start. They trailed by six before ending the first half with a 16-0 run in which they forced nine turnovers and had six steals. Green Bay had 14 steals on the night in securing its 31st consecutive regular season win. Kayla Tetschlag led the Phoenix with 17 points. Brandi Brown had 16 for Youngstown State, which dropped to 0-2 in the Horizon League and 0-13 overall. And the Penguins are 1-32 since December 30th of last year.

UW-Green Bay is now 2-0 in the conference – and they moved up four spots to No. 18 in the new Associated Press women’s poll released yesterday. UWGB’s next game is on Thursday night at home against Wright State.
