Organizers: FTD's opportunity for area businessesLocal businesses interested in exhibiting at the 2010 Pierce County Farm Technology Days (FTD) are encouraged to stake their claim now.
Local businesses interested in exhibiting at the 2010 Pierce County Farm Technology Days (FTD) are encouraged to stake their claim now.
According to the executive committee planning the Pierce County event, this will be the largest outdoor exhibition in the region’s history.
Organizers say the roughly 850 commercial spaces are being reserved quickly for the July 20-22 show. The event, which moves to a different Wisconsin county each year, is expected to draw 70,000 to 80,000 people.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for businesses and organizations to tap in to that large population of new customers,” said Executive Committee Chairman Mel Pittman.
Perennial exhibitors follow the show from location to location, but local businesses usually exhibit only when the show is in their customer area, said Executive Secretary Greg Andrews.
A major difference for 2010 is the show site, just southwest of River Falls, is close to the St. Paul/Minneapolis metropolitan area.
“That means the potential new customer base just went up dramatically,” said Andrews.
