Raiders win big over Glenwood, Ellsworth loses to SCC

Monday evening's prep boys basketball action saw Elmwood rip Glenwood City 73-59 while Ellsworth was equally ripped by St. Croix Central.

Monday evening's prep boys basketball action saw Elmwood rip Glenwood City 73-59 while Ellsworth was equally ripped by St. Croix Central 69-39.

Elmwood's Josh Pax led all scorers at Glenwood with 25 points. The Hilltoppers had four players in double figures but only five players score altogether. The Raiders had 16 points from Charlie Hutter, 15 from Jesse McKune and at least 17 points from five different players.

EHS has now won four out its last five ballgames and has big Dunn-St. Croix contest at Colfax Thursday.

The other EHS in the county fell behind 26-4 in the first quarter on its way to a crushing non-conference defeat in Hammond.

Adam Lee was the only player from Ellsworth in double figures with 11 points as the Panthers dropped their fifth game in a row.
