Katie Gravesen has seen a fair amount of clients from the Red Wing/Ellsworth area travel to her Prescott Chiropractic location since she started the operation in 2001.
Gravesen was looking for a better way to serve those clients and realized a second location was needed.
That vision came true last week as Gravesen opened Essential Chiropractic in Red Wing, located above Potter’s On Main.
Gravesen will be joined in Red Wing by her cousin, Lindsey Baillie, who recently completed chiropractic school.
“It was something that was in the back of our minds for a long time,” Baillie said about working together. “It was very convenient for us.”
The pair took slightly different ways to being a chiropractor. Gravesen said she wanted to own her own business and the health and wellness field--“Now that I’m here, I can’t think of anything else I want to do,” she said. Baillie was initially a nurse, but had a career change of heart.
“I wanted to prevent (patients) from ending up in sick care,” she said.
