DALLAS - The Milwaukee Bucks blew a chance to win at the buzzer last night, as they lost at Dallas 108-to-107.
The Bucks almost came back from a seven-point deficit with two minutes left – but Carlos Delfino missed a driving jump shot from the paint as time expired. Andrew Bogut almost single-handedly kept the Bucks in the game. He scored 20 in the first half to keep Milwaukee within six at the break. And Bogut had some key baskets in the second half to score a career-high 32 points with nine rebounds. Delfino had 22 points.
The Bucks split their last four contests, but fell to just 5-and-18 on the road. Dirk Nowitzki scored 28 for the Mavericks, who were coming off a 50-point rout of the New York Knicks on Sunday. Both teams shot over 50-percent – the Bucks at 53, and Dallas at 51. Dallas has now won 10 straight games that were decided by one-point. The Bucks dropped to 18-and-25 overall. They’re back home tonight against Philadelphia.
