MILWAUKEE - The Marquette women’s basketball team upset No. 17 ranked Georgetown 52-45 last night. It ended the Hoyas’ 16-game winning streak.
Angel Robinson hit a three-pointer with 1:07 left to put the Golden Eagles in front for good. And she made 5-of-6 free throws in the final minute to secure the victory. Robinson had 20 points on the night, as Marquette went above .500 in Big East play at 4-3.
It was a sloppy game, as the Eagles committed 30 turnovers to Georgetown’s 26. Sugar Rodgers scored 23 for the Hoyas.
