Nankivil scores 25 but Badgers lose again at Purdue

E’Twaun Moore made a running shot near the lane to put the Boilermakers up by one with 24 seconds left. The Badgers’ Trevon Hughes missed his final two shots – and JuJuan Johnson made two free throws to give Purdue its final margin of victory. Moore had 20 points, Johnson scored 14, and Robbie Hummel had 12 points and 13 rebounds as 10th-ranked Purdue won its third straight.
Keaton Nankivil led the Badgers with 25 points and six rebounds. He made 7-of-8 from three-point range. Jordan Taylor had 13 points and five assists, as the 16th-ranked Badgers broke a two-game winning streak. The Boilermakers improved to 5-3 in the Big Ten and 17-3 overall. Wisconsin dropped to 6-3 in the conference, and 16-5 overall.
The Badgers still remain in second in the Big Ten, a half-game ahead of Purdue, Illinois, and Ohio State. They face first place Michigan State on Tuesday in Madison.
