Denver, CO (Sports Network) - Josh Harding made 29 saves to post his first shutout of the season, leading Minnesota over Colorado, 1-0, at Pepsi Center.
Martin Havlat recorded the only goal of the contest for the Wild, winners of three straight games.
Craig Anderson stopped 25 shots for the Avalanche, who saw their six-game winning streak end after being shut out for the first time since December 9 against Minnesota in Denver.
Minnesota finally snapped a scoreless tie with 4:49 left in regulation, when Havlat tapped home a blind, backhand feed from Kyle Brodziak in the low slot.
Anderson was pulled for an extra skater with 2:36 to play, then seconds later the Avs were awarded a power play.
The Wild closed out the game with two barely unsuccessful tries on the empty net.
