ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Wisconsin was getting open looks from long range and making them count. The 16th-ranked Badgers hit 7-of-9 three pointers in the first half on the way to a 62-44 rout of Michigan.
Wisconsin's record improves to 18-5, including 8-3 in the Big Ten. Since losing leading scorer John Leuer the Badgers have won six of the eight games they've played.
Jason Bohannon scored 18 points and dished out five assists. He got double-figure help from Trevon Hughes with 14 and Jordan Taylor with 13. Scoring 14 straight points at one point helped Wisconsin lead at half, 40-26. The Badgers had only missed seven shots in the first 20 minutes.
The Wolverines came into the season favored to make a second straight NCAA tournament experience. Instead, they've lost five of their last six games, falling below the .500 mark at 11-12. DeShawn Sims led Michigan with 18 points.
