Panthers still searching for that first league win
Ellsworth High School's boys basketball team had high hopes its first Middle Border Conference win would come Tuesday at home vs. Somerset. However those hopes were dashed as the Spartans won 69-57.
Ellsworth High School's boys basketball team had high hopes its first Middle Border Conference win would come Tuesday at home vs. Somerset. However those hopes were dashed as the Spartans won 69-57.
The Panthers got off to a quick start at home and held a 21-13 lead after eight minutes. However, things fell apart after that.
Somerset outscored Ellsworth 25-6 in the second quarter. The Panthers were 1-for-5 from the field during that stretch.
Riley O’Neil led Ellsworth with 18 points and Jimmy Miska recorded 15.
