EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - The Milwaukee Bucks needed a second-half charge to beat the hapless New Jersey Nets last night, 97-to-77 in East Rutherford.

Only one-thousand-16 fans attended the game, thanks to the intense snowstorm out East. The Bucks broke open a one-point contest late in the third quarter with an 18-to-1 run. And the Nets then tumbled to their eighth straight loss, dropping their season record to 4-and-48.

Bucks’ center Andrew Bogut had 16 points in the second half and 22 on the night. He also had nine rebounds and four blocked shots. Former Wisconsin star Devin Harris led New Jersey with 27 points and nine assists, after he missed two games with a sprained left shoulder. Ex-Buck Yi Jianlian had nine points and 12 rebounds.

Milwaukee goes into the All-Star break at 24-and-27, one game behind both Miami and Chicago for the eighth-and-final playoff spot in the NBA’s Eastern Conference. Bucks’ rookie Brandon Jennings is heading to Dallas to compete in the All-Star Rookie-Sophomore Game tomorrow night and the Skills Challenge on “All-Star Saturday Night.” The Bucks will resume play next Wednesday night at home against Houston.
