WIAC notes: Fit to be tied in men's and women's basketball
Wisconsin Sports- UW-Stevens Point and UW-Whitewater men's basketball teams both won Wednesday evening, keeping them tied for first place while there's a three-way tie for first in the women's standings.

UW-Stevens Point and Whitewater are still tied for first in the WIAC men’s basketball race with three games left. The Pointers and Warhawks are both 10-and-3, after winning on their home floors last night. Sixth-ranked Stevens Point beat Eau Claire 80-61. Eau Claire made just eight field goals in the first half, and Matt Moses led the Pointers in scoring with 30. Ninth-ranked Whitewater kept pace with an 83-73 victory over Platteville. Dustin Mitchell and Mike Bendall each scored 20 points for Whitewater.
In women’s basketball, there’s now a three-way tie for first place in the WIAC. 20th-ranked Stevens Point lost sole possession of first last night after falling at Eau Claire 80-to-67. Point, River Falls, and Whitewater share the conference lead at 9-and-4. Whitewater moved up with an 88-to-77 victory at Platteville. River Falls had the night off.
