Badger women's hoops sweeps IU with win

MADISON - The Wisconsin women’s basketball team topped Indiana at home last night, 66-58.

Rae Lin D’Alie scored five straight points with about two minutes left to put the Badgers in front for good. Wisconsin ended the game on an 11-5 run, with all 11 points coming from the free-throw line. Marshfield native Jamie Braun led all scorers with 20 points for the Hoosiers. Tara Steinbauer scored 19 for Wisconsin, and D’Alie added 14.

The Badgers swept Indiana in its two-game season series for the first time in school history. The Hoosiers fell to 6-8 in the Big Ten and 13-12 overall. Wisconsin moved into a tie for third in the conference with Michigan State. The Badgers are 8-6 in the league and 18-7 overall. They’ll host Ohio State on Thursday night.
