VANCOUVER - It was a rough day for Minnesota's favorite skier Thursday -- but a good day for hockey fans.

Twin Cities native Lindsey Vonn fell in her run down the Super-Combined ski race at Whistler, later saying it was fatigue, not her bruised shin that made the difference. Maria Reisch of Germany took the gold while Vonn's teammate Julia Mancuso claimed the silver.

Meanwhile on the ice, Team USA cruised past Norway 6-1 in men's hockey while the women skated past Finland 6-0.

The USA's men's and women's curling teams are still winless at the Olympics. The men, led by John Shuster of Duluth, fell to Denmark 7-6 Thursday in a match that lasted an extra end. The United States is now 0-4 in Vancouver. The women suffered a 7-6 loss to Denmark on Thursday to fall to 0-3. They take on Russia today.
