All seven Wisconsin seniors scored at least one point in the Badgers' 7-4 Victory over St. Cloud State on senior night. Wisconsin blasted away, taking 50 shots on goal to 23 for the Huskies. Wisconsin goals were scored by Michael Davies, Brendan Smith, Derek Stepan, Ben Street, Jordy Murray, Andy Bohmbach and Aaron Bendickson. Stepan also had his team-high 27th assist. The win improves Wisconsin's overall record to 19-8-4, including 14-7-3 in the WCHA. UW is in third place in the WCHA standings, five points behind first place Denver and two points behind SCSU.
The Wisconsin women's hockey team led most of the way, only to give up a pair of late goals in a 3-2 loss to Minnesota. The game-tying and game-winning scores for the Gophers came on power plays. The loss means Wisconsin will finish in the fourth place in the WCHA with a 15-12-1 conference record. The Badgers will host Ohio State in the first round of the conference playoffs. Jasmine Giles and Mallory Deluce scored the Wisconsin goals. The win gives Minnesota a piece of first place in the WCHA standings.
