VANCOUVER - With Wisconsin skaters leading the way, U.S. men's and women's teams won the pursuit quarterfinals at the 2010 Vancouver games Friday.

The women edged the favored Canadian team by five-hundredths of a second to advance. Nancy Swider-Peltz Junior and Jilleanne Rookard were part of the winning effort. Both are from West Allis.

The men also pulled an upset, beating the Dutch team to earn a spot in the finals against Canada. West Allis skaters Trevor Marsicano, Brian Hansen and Jonathan Kuck are on that team's roster of players.
