There's still a week to go in the regular season, but the third-ranked Badgers have already secured home-ice advantage for the opening round of the conference playoffs. Wisconsin has 35 points, two ahead of Saint Cloud State and five behind first-place Denver. Wisconsin is 13-3-2 since December 1st, and will close out its regular season next Friday and Sunday at Minnesota.

Denver clinched the McNaughton Cup for the 12th time in school history after they won in OT at Minnesota State 4-3. The Gophers, meanwhile, saw their winning streak snapped in Duluth as UMD won Saturday 3-0.

The Badger women's hockey team ended their season during the weekend, after getting swept in a best-of-three home series against Ohio State in their first-round WCHA series.
