The Milwaukee Bucks still have sole possession of the second-to-last Eastern Conference playoff spot at the moment.
They’re a game-and-a-half ahead of Miami and Charlotte, which are tied for the eighth-and-final slot. The Bucks have 23 games left in their regular season. They’ll start a home-and-home series against the Washington Wizards tomorrow night at the Bradley Center.
Milwaukee is only a game above .500, but has won seven-of-its-last-nine. And one big reason is that they’ve improved their rebounding. Milwaukee ranks fourth in the N-B-A with 43-and-a-half boards per game. Chicago is the leader in that category, followed by the Lakers and Oklahoma City.
Center Andrew Bogut says the Milwaukee defenders do a great job of keeping their opponents out of the paint – and point guard Brandon Jennings drives to the hoop to get rebounds on offense. Milwaukee ranks sixth in the league with 12 offensive boards per contest.
