Michigan destroys Gophers' at-large NCAA tourney hopes with 83-55 win
Minnesota Sports- Michigan amassed a 43-29 halftime lead over Minnesota Tuesday night and went on to rout the Gophers 83-55 at Crisler Arena.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - DeShawn Sims scored 23 points to lead the Michigan Wolverines to an 83-55 victory over the Minnesota Golden Gophers in a Big Ten tussle at Crisler Arena.
Manny Harris added 22 points for Michigan (14-15, 7-10 Big Ten), while Stu Douglass tallied 10 points.
Damian Johnson netted 13 points for Minnesota (17-12, 8-9), while Colton Iverson contributed 10 points in the loss.
The Wolverines went into the break with a 43-29 edge after posting a 55.2 percent shooting effort from the field, which included a 7-of-15 showing from behind the arc.
In the second stanza, Michigan continued to put forth a solid effort by connecting on 16-of-24 attempts from the floor, en route to the 28-point victory.
The Wolverines scored 18 points off 14 Minnesota turnovers, while the Golden Gophers finished with just eight points off 21 Michigan miscues.
