DALLAS - The Timberwolves stayed with Dallas into the fourth quarter last night, but the Mavericks were able to pull away for a 112-109 and their ninth straight win.
T'Wolves head coach Kurt Rambis says he was pleased with the effort but lamented what he called silly mistakes that have been the hallmark of his first season leading the team.
Corey Brewer led the Timberwolves with 24 points while Kevin Love added 14 points and 14 rebounds.
The Wolves were playing without the suspended Al Jefferson, who'll also miss Saturday's home game against Houston after his recent drunk driving arrest. Nathan Jawai and Wayne Ellington also did not play for the Wolves after both suffered sprained ankles in practice on Monday. Jason Terry led Dallas with 26 points.
