ST. PAUL - Jarome Iginla was a thorn in the side of the Wild again, scoring three goals yesterday to lift the Calgary Flames to a 5-2 win before the 400th consecutive sellout at the Xcel Energy Center.

The Flames jumped to a two-goal lead less than three minutes into the game, and led 2-1 when Iginla began his onslaught. He scored on the power play in the second period, then added a goal early in the third period before putting the game on ice with an empty-net score with just over a minute to go in regulation It was the third time Iginla has picked up a hat trick against the Wild, who have been blitzed by the all-star forward for 30 goals and 23 assists in 53 games.

Both of the Wild's goals were by Guilleaume Latendresse, while Niklas Backstrom made 19 saves. The Wild are seven points out of the eighth and final playoff spot in the NHL Western Conference.
