T'Wolves can't hold lead, lose to Nuggets at home.

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Chauncey Billups delivered 25 points to lead Denver in a 110-102 final over Minnesota at the Target Center.

Carmelo Anthony recorded 19 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Nuggets, who won their fourth straight game to kick off a four-game road trip.

Nene came up with 17 points and nine boards, J.R. Smith added 15 points and Chris Andersen stepped up with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Corey Brewer paced a down-and-out Timberwolves squad with 21 points. Al Jefferson posted 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Kevin Love added 15 and 11.

Minnesota is riding a seven-game losing streak overall and has lost seven straight at home as well.

The T'Wolves held a 23-20 edge at the close of the first quarter, remained in front at the break, 53-48, and increased their lead to eight on a pair of free throws by Wayne Ellington four minutes into the third.

Denver chipped away at the deficit with Smith launching a trio of three- pointers over a two-minute stretch -- the last bringing the visitors within 67-66 with 4:24 remaining.

Andersen scored on consecutive Denver possessions moments later to grab the lead, and a nine-point surge to end the frame gave the Nuggets a 79-72 advantage.

Denver scored the first six points of the fourth for a 15-0 stretch and a three-point play by Andersen three minutes in had the hosts suddenly up by 16.
