Some gas price experts say the cost of a gallon of gasoline could reach three dollars by the end of May.
Triple-A Wisconsin reports that gallon gas jumped 22 cents in the past month, to two dollars, 77 cents. One expert says speculators pushing the market could tack on another 25 cents in the next two and a half months.
Another expert pointed to an improving economy as a driving factor in rising gas prices. The switch from winter blends of gas to smog-cutting summer blends -- required by government regulations -- always means prices will start to rise this time of year in Wisconsin.
