Fox Point native Skip Kendall gave up the lead in the rain-plagued Puerto Rico open Saturday. Darkness stopped play with leader Chad Collins still on the course. Kendall is now tied for fifth at seven under par, two shots behind Collins. Sunny skies are expected to help dry the course again today as golfers try to make up for all the missed time on the course.
Steve Stricker moved up into a tie for 21st at the C-A Tournament, but he is nine shots off the lead going into today's final round. Carl Schwartzel and Ernie Els are tied at 12 under par. Both golfers are from South Africa. Stricker shot a one under par 71 Saturday for a three-round total of three under. He had been tied with another Wisconsin golfer, Steve Stricker, but the Madison pro fell back to a tie for 30th when he shot a one over 73 Saturday.
