B-W's Keefer to play at UW-Madison while Phillips out with injury

Wisconsin Sports
- UW's football may have lost the services of back-up quarterback Curt Phillips in due to an injury in spring practice. However they did gain those of Baldwin-Woodville's Jake Keefer, who announced he will attend UW-Madison to play football.

MADISON - Wisconsin quarterback Curt Phillips is out indefinitely. He apparently has a serious injury in his right knee, after being hurt during a scrimmage last Saturday.

Coach Bret Bielema planned to release more information today. Phillips will be a red-shirt sophomore this fall. He backed up Scott Tolzien last year, throwing 7-of-12 passes for 65 yards. Phillips also had 14 carries for 138 yards. Red-shirt freshman Jon Budmayr will move into the number-two spot for now.

Meanwhile, linebacker-and-tight end Jake Keefer of Baldwin-Woodville recently gave his verbal commitment to play for Wisconsin in the fall of 2011. Keefer is an, all-conference and all-state linebacker and tight end for the Blackhawks.
