Koester ~ Johnson

PRESCOTT—Anja Koester of Nerstrand, Minn., and Patrick Johnson of Prescott were married on Oct. 24, 2009, at Vang Lutheran Church in rural Dennison, Minn.

PRESCOTT—Anja Koester of Nerstrand, Minn., and Patrick Johnson of Prescott were married on Oct. 24, 2009, at Vang Lutheran Church in rural Dennison, Minn.

Anja’s parents are Rene and Pam Koester of Nerstrand. Anja was a 2002 graduate of Northfield (Minn.) High School and received a bachelor’s degree in animal range sciences and equine studies from North Dakota State University in Fargo, N.D. She is currently employed as a Dakota County (Minn.) 4-H Program Coordinator for the University of Minnesota Extension in Farmington, Minn.

Patrick is the son of Lynn and Wanda Johnson and Patty and Mike Zuehlsdorf of Prescott. Patrick was a 2000 graduate of Prescott High School and attended Dakota County Technical College, where he received an associate’s degree in heavy equipment mechanics. Patrick is also a volunteer firefighter for the Prescott Fire Department.

Anja’s Matron of Honor was Rachael Johnson. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Wesley, Miranda Meehan, Jennifer Johnson, Kristin Blass and Penny Nester. Junior Bridesmaid was Samantha Zuehsldorf. Flower Girl was Tessa Johnson.

Patrick’s Best Man was Paul Johnson. Groomsmen were Joe Johnson, Jeremy Boles, Richard Olson, Dan Berning and Eric Johnson. Ushers were Joseph Butler and Billy Frey Jr. Ring Bearer was Gunnar Johnson.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Terje Hausken. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Welch Village Ski Resort in Welch, Minn. The couple enjoyed a honeymoon to Lutsen, Minn., and now resides in River Falls.
