Fort Myers, FL (Sports Network) - Jim Thome hit a two-run homer to pace Minnesota's 8-4 victory over Philadelphia in Grapefruit League play.
Joe Mauer and Michael Cuddyer also drove in a pair of runs each for the Twins, who got two hits and an RBI from J.J. Hardy.
Nick Blackburn went four innings and allowed two runs on six hits. Mike Maroth picked up the win in relief after limiting the Phils to two hits and a run over 2 1/3 frames.
Greg Dobbs hit a solo homer among his two hits and scored twice, while Juan Castro and Brian Schneider posted two hits and an RBI for the Philles.
Cole Hamels took the loss after he surrendered seven hits and five runs over 6 1/3 innings.
