Bucks looking for revenge against Clippers

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Bucks lost to two of the NBA’s worst teams in the past couple weeks.
But they’ll have a chance to make up for it tonight, when the Bucks host the Los Angeles Clippers. Milwaukee is on a drive to make the NBA playoffs for the first time in four years. But it did not stop them from losing to the Clippers on the road on Saint Patrick’s Day, and to Philadelphia last week.
The Clips come in at 27-46, after losing by 18 points to Golden State on Sunday. LA has dropped three-of-its-last-four, while the Bucks have lost two-of-three at home after beating Memphis by five in overtime on Sunday. But Milwaukee is hanging on to the fifth playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, while the Clippers are fourth from last place in the West.
Former Wisconsin player Kim Hughes has coached the Clips since early February after former Bucks’ coach Mike Dunleavy left. Former Buck Steve Blake is expected to start for L-A this evening. The Bucks are not sure if Carlos Delfino can play, after his neck was accidentally stepped on last Friday night. Clippers’ point guard Baron Davis is out with back spasms.
In other NBA news, Former University of Wisconsin guard Devin Harris will not have to suffer the embarrassment of playing on the NBA’s worst team ever. The New Jersey Nets finally won their 10th game of the season last night. It eliminated the possibility of tying with the 1973 Philadelphia 76’ers for the league’s worst record ever at 9-73. The Nets beat the San Antonio Spurs at home, 90-84. And Harris was among the leaders for New Jersey with 17 points and nine assists.
