MESA, Ariz. - Prince Fielder belted a grand slam in the third inning off Cubs minor leaguer Jay Jackson, as the Milwaukee Brewers beat Chicago, 12-7, in Cactus League play. Adam Stern hit a two-run single and ended 3-for-5 with two runs scored for Milwaukee, which also got two RBI from Ray Olmedo and Austin Stockfisch. Starting pitcher Yovani Gallardo allowed three hits in four scoreless innings.

Brewers manager Ken Macha says there's no guarantee that Corey Hart will be his starting right fielder on opening day. Macha says he may start Jim Edmonds -- partly because he's a lefty who would be hitting against Colorado right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez, and partly because Hart has been in a slump this spring. Complicating matters is the fact that Hart is just 1-for-6 lifetime against Jimenez. Hart has just one hit in his last 27 at-bats this spring.
