EDMONTON, Alt. (The Sports Network) - Devan Dubnyk stopped 25 shots to help the Edmonton Oilers take a 4-1 win over the Minnesota Wild.
Ethan Moreau and Dustin Penner each had two goals for the Oilers, who snapped a five-game losing streak.
Andrew Brunette scored the lone goal while Niklas Backstrom stopped 27 shots for the Wild, who have dropped four straight.
Edmonton struck 1:33 into the contest when Taylor Chorney sent a hard pass from the top of the left circle to the right circle where Dustin Penner threw a wrister into the net.
At the midway mark of the second, the Oilers made it a 2-0 game when Moreau received a pass all alone at the Minnesota blueline and blasted a shot between the five-hole of Backstrom for a shorthanded tally.
Minnesota scored just 12 seconds into the second period courtesy of Brunette's 25th goal of the season.
Moreau gave Edmonton an insurance goal with 5:44 to play when he banged in his own rebound from in front for a 3-1 advantage. Penner scored the final goal of the game with 4:21 to play on the power play.
