HAGER CITY - Ellsworth High School's baseball team took care of Durand in five innings Tuesday by a 13-0 score at Brown Field.
EHS scored six runs in the third inning and seven in the fourth. Tim Green and Bryce Stockwell each hit a two-run singles.
Winning pitcher Brady Schroeder struck out nine of the 15 batters he faced. He gave up two hits and walked one to earn the shutout.
Ellsworth only had five hits but were aided by 10 walks.
The Panthers improve to 2-0 in Middle Border Conference play and 2-1 overall.
