Prescott boys win E-S Invite, girls finish second
It was another year of great performances for the Prescott High School track and field team at the Eleva-Strum Invitational meet Tuesday.
CENTRAL - It was another year of great performances for the Prescott High School track and field team at the Eleva-Strum Invitational meet Tuesday.
The PHS boys' team won the meet title once again while the girls finished second.
Both teams dominated the running events.
Winning first place in the boys' meet were Sam Carpenter in the 100-meter dash, Joe Smith in the 200 and 400; Matt Pechacek in the 800 and the Cardnal 1600 and 3200 relay teams. PHS scored a total of 151.5 points with Elk Mound second in 121 points.
Speaking of relays, the Redbird girls team swept all four relay races in their meet (which was won by Mondovi with 182 points to the Cards 95) along with getting wins from distance runners S. Tschida in the mile run and Victoria Simones in the two mile.
