Wisconsin Sports- The Milwaukee Bucks will try to avoid a deeper hole in their first-round NBA playoff series with Atlanta tonight. Game-Two of the best-of-seven series begins at 5 p.m. and a Bucks’ loss would put them down 2-0 as they head home for Games Three-and-Four.
ATLANTA - The Milwaukee Bucks will try to avoid a deeper hole in their first-round NBA playoff series with Atlanta tonight. Game-Two of the best-of-seven series begins at 5 p.m. and a Bucks’ loss would put them down 2-0 as they head home for Games Three-and-Four.
Coach Scott Skiles needs the Milwaukee defense to play solid from the get-go, avoiding the jack-rabbit start the Hawks had on Saturday. Also, Atlanta took advantage of Andrew Bogut’s absence by scoring 46 points in the paint in Game-One. Center Al Horford pushed center Kurt Thomas away from the middle by the jump shots he was making. And the Bucks’ defense will have to find an answer for containing guard Joe Johnson – who scored 21 points on Saturday despite a sore right thumb from an injury in late March.
On offense, the Bucks will look for a better showing from guard John Salmons, who only made 6-of-18 from the floor in Game-One. He went 0-for-5 from three-point range, and was shut out in the fourth quarter.
