MILWAUKEE - The UW-Milwaukee men’s basketball team filled its biggest need for next season, when point guard Kaylon Williams signed a letter-of-intent. The Panthers announced the signing yesterday.

The 6-3 Williams played at Evansville two years ago, where he led the Missouri Valley Conference in assists. Last season, he played at Kirkwood Community College in Iowa, and he has two years of eligibility remaining.

Coach Rob Jeter says Williams will bring maturity to the UWM program. He’s expected to replace senior point guard Ricky Franklin.
