MINNEAPOLIS - Francisco Liriano pitched eight shutout innings and Michael Cuddyer drove in three runs with a homer and a triple to give the Twins a 6-0 win over the Cleveland Indians last night at Target Field.

The win assures the Twins a fifth straight series win to start the season, the first time that's happened since the franchise moved to the Twin Cities in 1961.

Liriano struck out six and walked two, and was only in trouble once. He got out of the bases-loaded jam in the fifth by getting Asdrubal Cabrera to hit into an inning-ending double play. The Twins managed just six hits, but Indians starter David Huff walked six, with two of them scoring in the second inning. Brendan Harris drove in one run and Denard Span had two RBI, with Cuddyer hitting his third homer of the season in the sixth inning. The

Twins are 11-4 and go for the series sweep this afternoon with Scott Baker going against Cleveland's Mitch Talbot.
