Ellsworth netters blanked by Altoona 7-0
Ellsworth High School's tennis team dropped to 0-2 in the Middle Border Conference with a 7-0 loss at Altoona Tuesday.
ALTOONA - Ellsworth High School's tennis team dropped to 0-2 in the Middle Border Conference with a 7-0 loss at Altoona Tuesday.
Dylan Greske and Andy Lutz lost at their No. 1 and No. 2 singles spots, respectively.
Jeff Stress fell 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 3 singles match.
Altoona's Zach Halverson defeated Adam Lee, 6-1, 6-0 in No. 4 singles.
The No. 1 doubles team of Adam Kearns and James Leslie was shutout in straight sets.
Keller said he was pleased with his No. 2 and No. 3 doubles teams for extending the matches further than they have in the past.
Brady Hines and Chris Schwarzhoff lost 6-1, 6-2 to Ryan Hansen and Brady Kaiser at No. 2 doubles while Parker Johnson and Nick Rheil dropped the No. 3 doubles match 6-3, 6-1.
Ellsworth is at New Richmond Thursday.
