Wisconsin News- Lindsay Whalen made her first appearance in Minneapolis yesterday following her trade to the Lynx from Connecticut.
MINNEAPOLIS - Hutchinson's Lindsay Whalen says her new team has as much talent as any she's seen in the WNBA.
Whalen made her first appearance in Minneapolis yesterday following her trade to the Lynx from Connecticut. She had been playing European League basketball for a team in the Czech Republic until last week.
Whalen says she's glad to return to her home state, and said "thanks" when Lynx vice president Roger Griffith noted that the won't let go of the former University of Minnesota all-American.
The Lynx had been trying to obtain Whalen ever since she came out of college in 2004.
