Twins whip Detroit 10-4
Minnesota Sports- Catcher Wilson Ramos, filling in for the injured Joe Mauer, went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI as the Minnesota Twins belt the Detroit Tigers 10-4 Monday evening at Target Field.
MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota Twins out-slugged Detroit 10-4 last night in Minneapolis. Catcher Wilson Ramos, filling in for the injured Joe Mauer, went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI.
That was after he got four hits in his Major League debut on Sunday. Michael Cuddyer hit a three-run homer for the Twins, who’ve churned out 32 hits in their last two games.
Max Scherzer took the loss for Detroit, giving up 10 runs on eight hits and four walks in four-and-a-third innings. Scott Baker got the win to improve to 3-and-2. Rookie Austin Jackson went 3-for-5 to increase his Major League-leading hit total to 43 for the Tigers, who ended a five-game winning streak.
