Spring Valley has knotted up the standings in the Dunn-St. Croix Small Division after beating Plum City Monday 5-2 at Legion Park in Plum City.

Both teams are now 4-4 in the D-SC Small. Pepin would have joined them but the Lakers were upended at home Monday by Elmwood 7-4.

Valley's Dustin Bune struck out eight batters and tossed a five-hitter to get the win in seven innings. PC stranded five out of six base runners in the late innings.

Meanwhile, Elmwood rallied from a 4-0 deficit after starter Jacob Lerum left the game due to an injury. The Raiders scored four runs in the sixth to take the lead.

Plum City will take on the Raiders Thursday at Elmwood while Spring Valley will look to stay in first place when they travel to Colfax, also on Thursday.
