Brunner's single leads Elmwood past Pepin 3-2
Elmwood catcher Amanda Brunner knocked in the winning run to lift the Raider softball team past Pepin 3-2 Saturday.
ELMWOOD - Elmwood catcher Amanda Brunner knocked in the winning run to lift the Raider softball team past Pepin 3-2 Saturday.
The Raiders loaded the bases in the bottom of the seventh with a double and two walks.
The win lifted Elmwood's spirits after a tough 4-3 loss Friday at St. Croix Central where the Panthers won by scoring the winning run in their last at bats. SCC all but clinched the conference title with the victory.
Elmwood splits the season series with Pepin. Kelsey Leach was the winning pitcher.
