Elmwood-PC boys' falls short in D-SC title race

Elmwood-Plum City's boys' track and field team fell short in their quest for the Dunn-St. Croix title Tuesday.

HAMMOND - Elmwood-Plum City's boys' track and field team fell short in their quest for the Dunn-St. Croix title Tuesday.

Elk Mound finished first in Tuesday's conference meet with 151 points to E-PC's 126. The Red Devils did have conference champs with their 3200 relay team in 8:41.99, Nick Kernstock won the high hurdles in 16 seconds, Alex Gilles won the 800 run in 2:03.93 and 1600 relay in 3:36.85 but not enough to overcome the Mounders.

Spring Valley finished sixth in the boys meet. They took fifth in the girls meet led Breanna Colbenson who took first in the 3200 in 11:43.14.

E-PC finished sixth. Jenna Reitz won the 200 in :27.07 seconds while Jordyn Mark set a new co-op record in the triple jump with a first place leap of 33 feet, four inches.
