GREEN BAY - Ryan Pickett and B-J Raji have switched positions on the Green Bay Packers’ defensive line. Raji was moved to the nose tackle spot, while Pickett becomes the left defensive end.
Raji said he was excited about the move, saying it would maximize his potential. Pickett said he’d be happy playing at either spot, and says Raji has the better body-type to play in the middle. Defensive line coach Mike Trgovac says the two players could switch back at any time, depending on how they perform. But the move could also be permanent – which Pickett and Raji both assume that it is.
The Packers held their second practice yesterday as a part of their organized team activities. Another work-out is scheduled for today. Meanwhile, the Packers have signed former Texas Tech quarterback Graham Harrell, who worked out for the team yesterday. The Packers now have five quarterbacks on their roster. The others are Aaron Rodgers, Matt Flynn, Chris Pizzotti, and Noah Shepard.
