Panthers blank Osceola 8-0, have big game tonight at Somerset

Ellsworth High School's baseball team has its second big game this week that will decide the Middle Border Conference title as it travels to Somerset this afternoon, 24 hours after shutting out Osceola 8-0.

The No. 9 ranked Panthers scored five runs in the first three innings Thursday and Osceola had only three hits while Ellsworth had 12.

Tim Green went 2-for-4 with four RBI while Caleb Dressen went 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Travis Kroll was the winning pitcher He struck out two and gave up all three hits in four innings of work.

New Richmond at Amery Thursday 7-4 so the Tigers finish 12-2 in league play. EHS must win today to claim a share of the MBC title.
