Plum City baseball stops losing streak at four
By splitting a Saturday doubleheader with Prairie Farm, Plum City High School's baseball team ended a four-game losing streak, winning game two 8-6.
PLUM CITY - By splitting a Saturday doubleheader with Prairie Farm, Plum City High School's baseball team ended a four-game losing streak, winning game two 8-6.
Plum City gave up runs in each of the first four innings but they struck back by scoring two or more runs in the first, second and fifth innings. They broke a 5-5 tie in the fifth to take the lead for good.
Shawn Ingli was the winning pitcher and he went 2-for-4 at the plate with a home run and three RBIs. He gave up two hits in three innings of work. Kris Krueger went 2-for-4 with a run.
The Panthers went up 8-0 in the first game, winning 9-4. Despite loss PC had a triple play while the Devils' Ryan Gillman went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs.
Plum City plays a make-up game with Durand on Monday.
