COLFAX - Elmwood-Plum City's Jenna Reitz won two sectional titles at Thursday's WIAA Division 3 sectional, Spring Valley's Breanna Colbenson won one and the E-PC boys had their highest finish as a team.
Reitz won both the 100 and 200-meter dashes with times of :13.55 seconds and :27.12 seconds. Colbenson was winner in the 3200-meter run in 11:48.77, finally getting a win over Colfax's Sarah McMahon.
Elmwood-Plum City's had its largest contingent ever at a sectional meet and had its best finish, third, behind Webster and Flambeau.
Qualifying for state from the E-PC boys team were Gabe Rodriguez, fourth in both the 200 and 400, Alex Gilles, fourth in the 800, Nick Kernstock, second in the 110-meter high hurdles and the Red Devils' 1600 and 3200-meter relays.
Besides Reitz, E-PC's Becky Hartung will head to state as she finished fourth in the 800. E-PC girls' 1600 also made it by finishing second.
E-PC girls placed fifth in the meet and Spring Valley was sixth. Colbenson took second in the 1600, Aarynn Deutsch and Katlyn Neck also qualified for state finishing second and fourth in the high jump. Neck made it to state last season in the same event.
Valley's boys' team finished 17th in the standings and qualified Mitch Samuel in the 100 as he finished fourth.
The state meet is next weekend in La Crosse.
